«For a crescendo of unprecedented communicative insensitivity» is what the spokeswoman of SYRIZA-PS, Poppy Tsapanidou, says commenting on the Prime Minister's interview and adds: «Mr Mitsotakis appeared to be unconcerned with the great national tragedy and distributed responsibilities without contradiction, while he took none».
Continuing her critique she states: «He sold the fairy tale of renegotiating the contract with Hellenic Train with lies, contortionism and evasion when his own minister, Mr Karamanlis. was the one who gave them 600 million as if it were his and his prime minister's, and not the Greek people's; he forgot the «blue» stationmaster who had a plug for New Democracy, and took on the entire railway staff, justifying the world's first-ever practice of having people on fixed-term contracts working in key positions.
He continued the outrageous lie that allegedly operated the telecommunications in Larissa, when just yesterday after the autopsy of Mr. Tsipras the station managers themselves denied his minister in a national broadcast.
But he also commented on the Prime Minister's announcement on the elections: «And since nothing works out for him, he announced, through the show he put on, elections in May, writing on his old shoes the Parliament, the other parliamentary parties and the President of the Republic herself». He concludes by blaming the Prime Minister: «Today Mitsotakis showed how much he believes that the number of human losses in a tragedy does not matter, as long as he succeeds in his plan. He is disrespectful, indifferent and apathetic.».
