Following the questionnaire that was sent regarding the excursion to the Peloponnese and after your warm response, we present the detailed programme. All those interested, regardless of whether or not they have previously completed the questionnaire, are invited to read the information carefully and proceed with the deposit.
Two-day activity programme in Mainalo, 25-26 May 2024
The historic area of Menalon will have the opportunity to get to know and taste through a series of activities whoever follows us on the weekend 25-26/05. Two days full of action, interaction, relaxation, enjoyment and adrenaline.

Activities Programme
Saturday 25/05: Hiking part of the Menalon trail (Limpovici - Piana)
Sunday 26/05: Multi Activity Day in Alfios (at the bridge of Karytaina)
Program Analysis:
->Saturday 25/05: Departure from Athens at 7:00am, meeting point Syngrou Fix to the village of Limpovisi. Libovisi is the village of Kolokotronis where we will wander around and stay for about 1 hour. Start 11:00am for a hike to the village of Piana. For the hike there will be three options of 6hours, 4hours and 1.5hours. Everyone will be able to choose the one that best suits their capabilities according to what we will have discussed before the start. During the duration of the tour we will cross the lush green Bear Creek, pass by running water springs and visit the cave of the god Pan. Arriving in the village, we will have lunch in a traditional restaurant in the square. After finishing the meal we will move by bus and in about 50 minutes we will be at the mountain shelter of Mainalon «Panos Alexopoulos», where the base of our excursion will be. Arrival at the shelter at 20:30am, settle in the dormitories, prepare and analyze the program for the next day's activity.
->Sunday 26/05: Breakfast 7:30am at the shelter and 8:30am departure with the vehicles to the village of Karytaina and the homonymous Byzantine bridge. At the point there will be a descent from the bridge to the riverbed and then various rope activities for young and old alike. There will also be the possibility of hiking along the banks of the Alpheus. Departure for lunch at a local restaurant at 16:30pm. After lunch departure for return to Athens.

Possibility of hiking 2hours/day
Familiarisation with heights (for those who will choose activities with ropes on the second day)
For persons under 18 years of age a parent or guardian is required

Comfortable clothes, underwear and socks at least two changes (preferably clothes that dry easily).
Waterproof jacket/membrane in case of rain.

Baton if you have one

The programme may be modified depending on weather conditions.
People coming from Kythera will have to travel to Neapolis on Friday 24/05 16:15pm.
People who wish to come from any other part of Greece or to follow the excursion with their own vehicle, please contact the organization.
For those who wish there is the possibility of staying in a tent outside the shelter with a reduction in the total cost of the trip 10€
