Thessaloniki's art scene is here. Today, Wednesday, the SEA is releasing the «Memorial Stones, Landmarks of History #2». The Argyris Bakirtzis, Kostas Vombolos, Thomas Korovinis, Stringless, Dimitris Zervoudakis and Yiannis Aggelakas support the campaign to save the ancient ruins on Venizelos Street and read Thucydides («Pericles» Funeral Oration”) and George Vafopoulos («On the Rivers of Babylon,» 1978).
«The city will not be destroyed—the antiquities at Venizelos Station will remain in place!» emphasizes the SEA.
As a reminder, yesterday, the campaign «Stones of Memory, Signposts of History» campaign opened with verses by Titos Patrikios, which he read himself, along with actors Karyofyllia Karabeti and Lydia Fotopoulou, artists with ties to Thessaloniki. Thessaloniki native Tania Tsanaklidou, a singer and actress, read a passage by Dinos Christianopoulos.
