The Holy Epiphany was celebrated with particular solemnity again this year on the island of Kythira. The Mayor of Kythira, Efstratios Charhalakis, representatives of the authorities and security forces, and many citizens gathered in Kapsali.
The Archiepiscopal Divine Liturgy of Theophany was celebrated by His Eminence, the Metropolitan of Kythira and Antikythira, Mr. Seraphim, in the historic Metropolitan Church of the Crucified, followed by the throwing of the Holy Cross into the sea.
