In concluding an agreement with ACS courier company, company of Quest Group, for the supply, installation, and technical support of a total of 205 stations with «KePol »smart" lockers, which will cover the entire Greek territory, was initiated by Mobile Technology.
As stated in a relevant announcement, this is the first installation of «smart» lockers. (smart lockers) to be held in Greece and will provide consumers with the option to receive (or deliver) their parcels using the Click & Collect method, i.e. without human contact, on any day and at any time.
KePol «smart» lockers, which will initially be installed in Attica and Thessaloniki, will be installed outdoors, as They are extremely secure and durable, even in extreme weather conditions. They will include a touch screen for entering the required passwords for the lockers, a POS for those who wish to pay by card when collecting their parcel, an alarm system, a camera, and LED lighting.. The pilot installation of five stations at selected locations in Athens is already scheduled for early 2022. It should be noted that the smart locker interface software is being developed entirely by ACS.
Mobile Technology, as mentioned in the announcement, undertook the implementation of this project, as it has the necessary expertise for the installation of the lockers, as the official representative of the Austrian company KEBA in Greece, whose solution in this particular field is the most widely used solution across Europe and has been used since 2001 by leading companies in the courier industry.
