Thursday, 16 June has been set as the date for the 8th ground application of larvicide in Kythera by the Region of Attica for the municipalities of the Regional Unit of the Islands.

«We inform you that in the framework of the implementation of the program «Mosquito Control in the Region of Attica for the years 2021-2023», the ground applications of mosquito larvae control, which started in March 2022 (9th time in the Municipalities of Troizinia-Methana and Poros and 8th time in the other municipalities), continue at an intensive pace.
The planned applications will be carried out in the areas indicated as follows:
Also, on the part of the Region of Attica with relevant correspondence have informed the stakeholders in the municipalities of the Regional Unit to maximize the effectiveness of spraying in the areas of their jurisdiction (control and repair of any leaks water supply network, regular cleaning of rainwater manholes, technical interventions to prevent rainwater from ponding, regular cleaning of litter, periodic clearing & pruning of bushes, covering of wells to prevent mosquitoes from escaping, etc.).»
