Retired teacher Spyros Sotirchos has passed away at the age of 97. The teacher, who was well-known and beloved in the local community, passed away peacefully yesterday, Friday, June 19, shortly before midnight.
The news of his death was announced in a social media post by his son, Yiannis Sotirchos, in which he mourned the loss of the family’s father and grandfather, who passed away after a full life.
The funeral of the deceased will take place on Tuesday, June 23, on 6:00 p.m., at the Church of Saint Nikitas in Kalami Kythira, where relatives, former students, and friends will bid him a final farewell.
