Development comes from the Sea...
My participation in the combination ATTIC CIRCLE OF COOPERATION AND TRUST with the candidate for Regional Governor GEORGIO IOSEKIMIDIS, has multiple objectives:
- The Development of a Marine Network in the Saronic Sea that will bring income to the residents of the islands of Attica.
- In Methana, in Troizinia, in Kythera, in Antikythera, in Spetses, in Hydra, in Poros, in Agistri, in Aegina, in Salamina.
- The creation of Energy Communities to minimize municipal fees and drastically reduce household energy costs.
- The expansion of ports, marinas, fishing shelters and all infrastructure, so that our islands become a privileged and attractive destination for yachts. The increase in berths will bring an increase in jobs and additional income to residents and municipalities.
- Ensuring a daily, faster and cheaper ferry service.
- The formulation of a unified plan for the advertising promotion of all the islands of the Saronic Gulf, Kythera, Antikythera, Methana and Troizinia and their unified promotion in foreign exhibitions.
- Equalization of all development incentives with those in force in the Peloponnese and the rest of Greece.
- Ensuring adequate drinking water for all residents of the Region of the Attica Islands. Creation of dams, utilization of the Karatzas Reservoir.
- Increase jobs through investment programmes and programmatic contracts with the Municipalities of the Islands that will enable young people to demonstrate their skills and abilities.
- Exploitation of the people of culture and promotion of landmarks, archaeological sites, trails.
- Recording, opening and certification of trails. Creation of a unique network combining marine tourism and alternative holiday and leisure activities, including cycling and hiking.
- Creation of Marine Diving Parks for recreational diving and related diving activities.
- The Attica Islands are entitled to have both waterways and heliports, not only for emergencies.
- Preparation of Civil Protection plans for all the Islands and Troizinia. Measures for the Protection of the Marine Environment.
- Respect for local communities. No decision will be taken without the approval of local government.
- Strengthening local agricultural production and promoting the local gastronomic heritage.
I will repeat it once again: Development comes from the sea...
So let's make use of all the comparative advantages of the Saronic Gulf, Kythera and Antikythera.
