The Board of the Association was deeply saddened to learn of the death of our distinguished compatriot and Professor of Constitutional Law, George I. Kasimatis.
The deceased was a brilliant beacon of legal science, a personality of national scope and a worthy ambassador of the Kytherian spirit.
He was also a prominent political figure, serving Greece as Legal Advisor to the Prime Minister's Office.
Regardless of his political beliefs, he worked closely with everyone on issues of vital interest to Kythera and its people.
Our Association thanks him, because as President of KIPA, he laid the foundations for the renovation of the School of Anglicanism of Kato Chora, by preparing a study for this purpose, which was the basis for the funding of this project by the Region of Attica, with the amount of 225.000 €.
We stand reverently before the great man, express our gratitude for his works for Milopotamos, Kythera and Greece, and hope for his eternal rest «in the tents of the righteous».
To his family and friends, we wish from the bottom of our hearts, strength, patience and perseverance for the great ordeal they are experiencing.
The Board decides:
- That this resolution be adopted.
- To be communicated to all the media of Kythera and relevant websites.
HIS ETERNAL MEMORY
For the Board of Directors
