A remarkable musical event is set to captivate fans of traditional and art music in Kythira. The leading lute player and performer Giorgis Xylouris (Psarogiorgis) He is coming to the island for a special solo performance, bringing with him the deep, authentic sound of Cretan tradition as well as his own unique, experimental perspective.
The event will take place at the café's iconic venue «Asztikon» at Potamos, which this year marks its 20th anniversary of participation in the island’s cultural events.
Psarogiorgis, a member of one of Crete’s most historic musical families (son of Psarantonis), is known for the way he blends authentic Cretan tradition with contemporary musical elements, making the laouto sound like an entire ensemble.
