Proposal entitled «Supply of electric vehicles for the Municipality of Kythera» and budget €560,480, submitted by the Municipality of Kythera in Call AT12 entitled «Electrification actions in municipalities» of the Programme «ANTONIS TRITSIS».
The proposal provides for the supply of electric vehicles to strengthen the existing fleet of the Municipality of Kythera in order to substantially improve the services provided to the citizens and to optimize the operation of the Municipality's work, while reducing the burden of the traffic of conventional petrol or diesel vehicles on the environment. More specifically, the proposal includes the following electric vehicles:
- An electric vehicle with a tipper
- An electric basket vehicle
- An electric small pick-up, for use exclusively in Antikythera
- An electric passenger car
- An electric VAN general purpose
- Two electric VANs with mobile workshop equipment
The proposals to the «TRITSIS» programme are the exclusive competence of the Economic Commission and shall be drawn up on the basis of the priorities of the development programming of the Municipal Authority in accordance with the needs of the services of the Municipality, as determined by the supervisors and staff who have direct knowledge of the problems of everyday life.
This proposal is part of the overall planning of our Municipality for Implementation energy efficient and environmentally friendly infrastructure. In this context the Municipality of Kythera has already been funded by the Green Fund for the preparation of an Electric Vehicle Charging Plan (S.F.E.O.), and recently submitted a proposal for the energy upgrading of three schools on the island with funding from the Attica Regional Development Programme with a total budget of 229.000€.
The Municipality of Kythera will continue to exploit as many sources of funding as possible for the implementation of projects that contribute directly or indirectly to improving the quality of life for all of us.
