The second season of the drama series «War of the Worlds,», in production CANAL+ and FOX, creator of the BAFTA-winning, Howard Overman, premieres on Monday, May 31, at 9:50 p.m., exclusively on FOX. New episodes will air every Monday at 9:50 p.m. and will also be available on demand.

The modern television adaptation of H.G. Wells' classic novel, set in France and the United Kingdom and, having won the hearts of audiences and critics alike, returns with its second season, starring the Golden Globe winner and Emmy and Tony Award nominee, Gabriel Byrne (In Treatment) and the series that won a Golden Globe and a Critics' Choice Award, Daisy Edgar-Jones (Normal People). The cast also includes Léa Drucker, Natasha Little, Stéphane Caillard, Adel Bencherif, Ty Tennant, Stephen Campbell Moore, Bayo Gbadamosi, Aaron Heffernan, and Emilie de Preissac.
In the first season of *War of the Worlds*, an alien attack nearly wiped out humanity, leaving behind only a handful of survivors to fight for their lives. No one was more shaken by the invasion than Emily (Daisy Edgar-Jones), who discovered that there might be a special personal connection between herself and the aliens. The second season of «War of the Worlds» finds the protagonists reeling from the possibility that the invaders might actually be human. In their effort to regain control of the planet, they face a difficult battle. Their desperate struggle for survival pushes them to the limit. Some will even seriously consider sacrificing one of their own.

The series aired exclusively on FOX in more than 50 countries across Europe and Africa. In the United Kingdom, it was recognized as the most successful series since 2012, while in the U.S., the first season made the list of top-performing new series on the EPIX network.
