Further explanations for the case of Folli Follie by SYRIZA asks the New Democracy in a new statement. Specifically, the ruling party points out:
«In the e-mail correspondence of the security director of Folli Follie to its accused founder that was published yesterday, there is a reference to the allocation of «a fund (80)» for «some needs» of their «man» who will be «by their side until it's all over».
Following the revelations, Mr. Ballouras, then president of the Finance Committee of the House of Representatives, came out and basically admitted the transaction with this company stating that the 80,000 euros went to a hospital in Ilia, of his/her constituency.
Why is it that 80,000 allegedly allocated by Folli Follie in exchange for favourable treatment end up in the constituency of the then chairman of the House of Representatives' Economic Affairs Committee?;
