In a sharp comment by the Press Office, PASOK-Ministry of Change criticised Kyriakos Mitsotakis for his references from Thrace, when asked about the opinion of Mr. Doyakos on the ADAE.
«The Prime Minister, who in 2019 subjected the National Intelligence Service to his personal control and instrumentalized “secrecy” to prevent the truth from being revealed, has baptized the direct interference in the operation of the NSAE as “institutional dissent”,» PASOK-KINAL said in its commentary, adding that «such a blatantly unconstitutional behavior indicates either a loss of contact with the institutional reality of an EU member state or terror at the possibility of new revelations.».
It also cites a current publication on the News247.gr website according to which the Hellenic Intelligence Service has documented the surveillance by the National Intelligence Service of a serving government minister and senior members of the Armed Forces. «Clear answers are required here and now. The Government's conscious choice to hold the elections in the dark and in a toxic climate is a dangerous choice for our country, especially in these critical geopolitical conditions, where a civilised climate of confrontation and institutional behaviour must prevail,» the PASOK-KINAL Press Office said in a commentary.
