The Deputy Minister of National Defence of the SYRIZA party, Thodoris Dritsas, spoke to Adelin-FM journalist Giota Politis about the events of the last few days, concerning our island and the presence of migrants in Avlemonas and Lykodimou beach.
«Adelin cannot be subjected - and neither can the citizens - to this kind of pressure, not to report the news.».
Mr. Thodoris Dritsas, the responsible Sectoral Head of the SYRIZA Group, in his intervention regarding the attitude of the coast guard:
«I wonder how the history written by the glorious Coast Guard can make its officers behave in such a way.».
«It is unacceptable what is happening and I denounce it and I ask directly from Minister Plakiotakis to intervene immediately.», he continued.
On the operation he noted:
«This operation of secret, arbitrary, without informing the Civil Protection, the Municipal Authority of Kythera, without informing citizens in time and generally after 24 hours notice is not consistent with the rule of law.».
Finally, the Minister stressed:
«It turns the issue on the part of the government and state services into an operation of absolute lawlessness and panic and creates a major issue on the island of Kythera».
