An extraordinary meeting was held today by the Board of Directors of the Kythera Tourist Accommodation Association “CeriGo”, Deciding unanimously to condemn the cancellation of the Kythera Airport runway extension project from the budget of the Region of Attica for 2025.
In strong tones, the Board speaks of «undermining the tourist development» of the island, stressing that the «the masks have fallen» and that those responsible can no longer hide. This decision adds new tension to the controversy surrounding the important project, which is described as vital for boosting tourism and the local economy. Here is the release.

The Board of Directors of the Kythera Island Tourist Accommodation Association “CeriGo“ met today and decided unanimously to condemn the apparent effort of degradation and decline of the island of Kythera.
More specifically , in this year's draft budget of the Region for the year 2025 , is not included the much-promised project , the expansion of the runway runway of Kythera Airport .
The masks have now fallen... the “responsible” reveal their true intentions, they can no longer hide..
The plan to undermine the overall tourism development of the island... is in full swing.
They will find us resolutely against them.
