The municipalities of Attica have set a common goal this year... Not to leave any child without his/her Christmas present! To achieve this they joined forces to make «All of Attica a Christmas hug for children», as they say and gather today Saturday (18/12) in central points of their municipalities, Christmas gifts for the children of beneficiary families of their Social Grocery, ie toys, books and everything else that can give joy to a child. This programme is carried out in cooperation with ’All Together We Can«, which since 2011 has been planning and implementing actions covering a wide range of areas, such as social welfare, the environment, health and education, with collections of food, medicines and clothes for people in need, with the organisation of voluntary blood donations, as well as actions for the immediate relief of socially vulnerable groups.
The Christmas gifts that will be offered should be new or used but in perfect condition, ready to be used and offer their own joy to the children who will receive them through the structures of each municipality. Of course, all the sanitary protocols for the pandemic will be observed, as defined by the HOPE.
The action will take place from 10 am to 2 pm, at the following locations in each municipality:
