The first official trailer for James Cameron's Avatar: The Way of Water, the sequel to the highest-grossing film of all time, has been released and it's impressive.
The sci-fi adventure, which opens in cinemas on 16 December, begins the narrative ten years after the events of the first film and follows the Sally family, Jake, Neytiri and their children as they try to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive and the tragedies they endure in their fight for their endangered planet, Pandora.
As for the cast, many of the actors from the first film return, including Zoe Saldana (Neytiri), Sigourney Weaver in a new role and Sam Worthington as Jake Sully, while Kate Winslet, Michelle Yeo and Una Chaplin are among the additions.
A few days ago it was revealed that the film's running time is three hours and ten minutes - blockbusters with a long running time were both Avengers: Endgame (three hours and two minutes) and Cameron's other big hit, Titanic (three hours and fourteen minutes), which are #2 and #3 on Comscore's list of the highest grossing films in the history of the global box office.
Cameron's first «Avatar» - shorter by 29 minutes than the sequel - released in December 2009, still remains at No. 1 in the ranking.
