The Mayor of Kythera Mr. Efstratios Harhalakis signed the contract for the supply of one (1) new garbage truck, with the contractor company «Industry of Special Constructions A. Kaousis S.A.».
The subject of the contract is the supply of one (1) press-type garbage truck with a capacity of 16m3 for the needs of our Municipality. The total gross load of the vehicle is 19tn.
The budget of the supply amounts to 150.000,00€ (incl. VAT) and is entirely covered by funds from the Philodemus II Programme.
Along with the vehicle, all the items required by law will be delivered: spare wheel, standard tools, fire extinguishers, pharmacy, tachograph and the vehicle's maintenance and spare parts books.
Our Municipality continues to constantly renew the municipal vehicle fleet with new modern vehicles, such as the 2 new garbage trucks received in 2019, the new autonomous fire truck, the 2 new vehicles for the Technical Service that are expected and the 3rd in a row new garbage truck that will be received in the spring. In this way, we are decommissioning outdated and costly vehicles that have not been replaced for many years, providing better and higher quality services to the citizens.
