We are pleased to announce that a new electric generator for the needs of the Holy Shrine of Panagia Myrtidi was received from Italy in a record time of nine days, on 06/08/2025, a new electric generator was received from Italy to meet the needs of the Holy Shrine of Panagia Myrtidiotissa, and for this we thank the municipal employees (Polyxeni Alezidou and Theodoros Daponte), the employees at Egchorio (Chrysoula Sofiu and Vasiliki Glytsou), and Zacharias Vas. Kasimatis (Kaloula) for donating the transportation and installation at the Myrtidia site using the large crane, as well as Georgios Kalligeros, son of Minas (Kourmoulis), who, together with his son, responded immediately to our request to connect the boreholes and the rest of the electrical system equipment.
At the same time, a crew from Patras is working intensively to fix the sound system in preparation for the festival and the radio broadcast.
We are deeply moved and surprised by the large and unexpected turnout of pilgrims—non-Kythirians from Crete, Elassona, Thessaloniki, Lechaina, etc., as well as their support through words of love and acts of solidarity.
