Prominent scientists continue to provide practical support to the General Hospital – Kythira Health Center «Trifyllio,» strengthening the health services provided to the island’s residents.
According to an official press release from the hospital administration, the following volunteer activities took place at the hospital in recent days:
- Gynecological Care: On Monday, August 3, Associate Professor at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, gynecologist and obstetrician Dr. Olga Triantafyllidou, provided free checkups to pregnant women on Kythira who are under the care of the hospital’s midwife, Ms. Chr. Aggeli.
- Dermatological Examinations: On Tuesday, August 4, Professor of Dermatology at the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens, Mr. Alexandros I. Stratigos, a native of Kythira, offered his services free of charge to a large number of citizens who came for an examination.
The Hospital Administrator, Mr. Theodoros G. Koukoulis, expressed his warm and heartfelt thanks to the two university physicians for their invaluable contribution to the local community of Kythira.
