Ο Mayor of Kythera, Mr. Efstratios Harhalakis, held the following meetings (in order) on Wednesday, November 10, 2021:
- With the Minister of State, Mr. George Gerapetritis, at the Maximos Mansion, where he briefed him in detail on the projects and initiatives of the Municipality of Kythira, as well as on the development priorities for the coming years. In particular, they discussed the Establishment of the Energy Community in Kythira, the need to resolve the bureaucratic obstacles that have been hindering the Tender process for the runway extension studies at Kythira Airport, the Request for the transfer of the old Agia Pelagia Customs House by ETAD and the Request to Establish a Military Outpost on Antikythira.
- With the EETAA President Dimitris Maravelias and CEO Spyros Spyridonas. The mayor's request for the Utilization of the EETAA Technical Service (pursuant to Law 4674/20) to prepare the design studies for the upgrade of the Municipal Depot in Fratsia and the construction of a modern building that will meet all relevant specifications.
- With the officials from the «New Metropolitan Attica» Development Agency» of the Attica Region. The framework for cooperation with the Attica Islands Network was discussed with a view to the efficient and beneficial use of the funding instruments for the new 2021–2027 programming period.
- With the Minister of Environment and Energy, Mr. Kostas Skrekas, and the President of the National Observatory of Athens, Professor Emm. Pleiades, with the main topic of discussion being the The need for Antikythira to achieve energy self-sufficiency in preparation for its construction «PAGGAIA», the flagship scientific infrastructure for the Climate Change.
