Ο Kythira Youth Athletic Association announced the start of intensive work on the club's stadium, with the aim of improving the sports facilities ahead of the new sporting season. The announcement comes after a successful summer season, during which the club managed to generate revenue from its activities.
According to the announcement, the club's management assessed the needs of the pitch and proceeded to purchase new equipment. The purchase of a new lawn mower was important, as the previous one had worn out significantly. In addition, fresh seed and soil were purchased for the maintenance of the field.
The initial work included mowing the lawn, sowing seeds in areas that needed it most, filling in soil along the length of the field, scarifying, and watering as necessary. The club informed its supporters that the work would continue for the next 40 days, with the aim of having the pitch ready for use in October 26.
The Kythira Youth Athletic Association has committed to keeping the public informed about the progress of the work, with the aim of completing and delivering the stadium to the athletes and fans of the island on time. See below for photos of the stadium.
