Easter in Aulomona is observed during every traditional event of religious significance. Its uniqueness lies in the the procession of the Epitaph on Good Friday.
On all the rocks around the bay, all the way to the lighthouse and up to the castle, makeshift lanterns are placed, which are lit during the Epitaph procession. Within a short time, the entire bay is ablaze. The Byzantine hymns and the glowing bay combine to create majestic moments that are indelibly etched in the hearts and memories of every visitor.
