In the support to be given to gyms, catering, retail and playgrounds, the Minister of Development and Investment, Adonis Georgiades, speaking to OPEN. Mr Georgiades made it clear that the gyms should receive the support of the State, due to the fact that they remained closed for a long time. He revealed that the platform for subsidies for gyms and playgrounds will open between 28 and 30 May. The minister noted that there will be no turnover reduction criteria for the subsidy to be given as all these businesses have a turnover reduction of more than 30%.
Regarding the limit of 100 people at weddings and receptions, Mr Georgiades expressed the view that, with the current data, this is not necessary, since a catering establishment can accommodate more than 100 people with the current measures. «We will request the committee to lift this measure,» the minister noted.
