Four people were transported by EKAΒ following a collision between two firefighting helicopters in the Psatha area during a firefighting operation.
According to the official statement from EKAV, two of the passengers sustained minor injuries, while two others were pulled from the wreckage unconscious. All four are being transported to the 251st General Air Force Hospital (251 GNA).

Two chartered BELL helicopters collided during a wildfire suppression operation in the Psatha area of Attica,which were assisting in the effort to extinguish the major wildfire in Attica and Boeotia. According to an announcement by the Fire Department, a total of four men were on board the two helicopters, two of whom were Greek nationals and two foreign nationals. Two of the passengers were found alive, while two others were recovered unconscious and transported by EKAV ambulances.

During a wildfire suppression operation in the Psatha area of Attica, two chartered BELL helicopters collided while operating to extinguish the major wildfire in Attica and Boeotia. Search and rescue teams from the Fire Department were immediately mobilized and successfully located and rescued all crew members. Coordination was carried out from the scene of operations by the Chief of the Fire Department, Lieutenant General Theodoros Vagias. A total of four men were on board the two helicopters, two of whom were Greek nationals and two were foreign nationals. Two of the passengers were found alive, while two others were recovered unconscious and transported by EKAB ambulances. Ground firefighting units that were already operating in the wider Psatha area to combat the wildfire participated in the search and rescue efforts. The two helicopters had taken off from the Elefsina airport. The exact causes and circumstances of the incident are being investigated by the relevant authorities.
