Today, Tuesday (14/12), the Secretary General for Union Resources and Infrastructure, Mr. Dimitris Papagiannidis, finally signed a short extension, exclusively for the processing of support applications, for sub-measure 6.1 (Young Farmers) of the 2014-2020 RDP.
Specifically, for those who have created a support application submission code (five-digit code C3NG) in the PSKE by 14/12 at 13:00, the deadline is Tuesday, 28/12 at 13:00, so that they can be properly processed by the researchers and finally submitted electronically to the system.
According to the Ministry of Rural Development and Food, the Young Farmers program has a budget of €420 million, which is approximately €120 million more than the previous program (2016).
The number of applications submitted to date is a source of great satisfaction to the leadership of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food, as it demonstrates that more and more young people are choosing to engage in the primary sector.
The Minister of Rural Development and Food, Mr. Spilios Livanos, stressed that the government's goal is for more and more young people to engage in the primary sector by choice and not out of necessity for survival. He also expressed his gratitude to all the employees of the Ministry of Rural Development and Food who worked under difficult conditions to ensure the successful implementation of the program.
In line with the Ministry of Rural Development and Food's policy to attract more young people to the primary sector, it should be noted that Mr. Livanos has announced new calls for applications for the Young Farmers program in 2023 and 2025.
