A special event honoring and commemorating Andreas Lourantos Kontaratos will take place on Sunday, July 20, 2025, at 7:30 p.m., at the Municipal Library in Kontolianika, Kythira.
The event is being organized by the newspaper «Kythiraika» and Andreas’s friends, and it will feature people who were close to Andreas Lourantos, sharing poems and memories. Among them:
Attorney K. Kalligeros,
M. Kalligeros, publisher of the newspaper «Kythiraika,»,
the author G. Kasimatis (from Drymonia),
former District Governor M. Kasimatis and
Dr. K. Megalokonomos, a physician and writer.
The event will also feature presentations by author G. Kostoulas and journalist T. Papadopoulos.
This is an evening of remembrance, reflection, and emotion, dedicated to a remarkable figure from Kythira.
