In a statement, Dynamo Kythira welcomes the establishment by the City Council, at today's meeting, of an inter-party committee to holistically address the threat to the site from industrial wind farms. The following is the statement:
«The island of Kythera, resisting the energy frenzy that prevails throughout the country, demonstrates once again its maturity.
In the current municipal council and following its meeting of 25-2-2020, after the recommendation of Mayor Efstratios Harhalakis, it decides to set up an interdepartmental committee in order to holistically address the threat to the area from industrial wind farms.
This decision reveals the consensus that prevails on the island regarding the ILLEGAL production permits for industrial wind farms that have been granted and the pending applications and gives hope for even more substantial and effective actions.».
