As Kythera.News reports Mr. Koussouris the last collection route was carried out on Saturday 13 August and since then and until late Monday night, a large amount of waste has accumulated in the capital and its port. As he said: «I have pointed out in the past, in a letter that in the issue of cleaning, holidays should not be left “uncovered”, at least at the “full” season and some special days such as the 15th of August. I wonder if the deputy mayor in charge is paying due attention or can't manage it? So, we end up with three days of garbage collection on Saturday - Sunday - Monday.»
Tomorrow morning is expected to be the collection of garbage, while it is noted that so far the management in the cleaning of the island has not faced particular problems except in some cases in the management of bulky. However, as is the case in many municipalities in the country, especially tourist municipalities, additional routes are planned during peak periods.
