Ο Diamantis Karanastasis uses his iconic film 1962, “Athens by Night” (Kl. Konitsiotis) in contrast to the “”Athens by Night" 2021 and creates a poetic 15-minute film, casting the city in the leading role, its hangouts, and our absence, culminating in the endless silence of cultural venues at a time when the city was once teeming with life.
The film “11 p.m.” was shot on Friday, March 19, and Sunday, March 21, 2021, shortly after the curfew was imposed on the city’s streets, and it is a record of the days we have lived through and continue to live through.
