We contacted the president of the Domestic Property Committee of Kythira and Antikythira, Mr. Venardos, and asked him to comment on the topical question posed by MERA25 MP Kr. Arsenis and the response of the Deputy Minister of Environment and Energy, Mr. Tagaras. More specifically, we asked him to comment on the fact that RAE is illegally issuing licenses and certificates without examining the compatibility of the projects with the Special Framework for Spatial Planning.. Our president responded by saying that «Our positions and our will have been clearly expressed through legal means. Our appeals against the decisions of the Regulatory Authority for Energy (RAE) demonstrate in the clearest possible way that we are defending domestic property.».
The president also added: «The Domestic Property Committee must be consulted on matters that fall within its remit under the law. No one can make decisions about domestic property without consulting the committee.». Finally, he added that even the Municipality of Kythira must ask for every project and intervention on land belonging to the Domestic Property, which it does, and acts only with its approval.».
