Antonis Mavrommatis: «We are investing in the people of Greek kickboxing to ensure the sport’s continued growth.»

The President of the P.O.K. refers to new opportunities for promoting Greek coaches, the Federation’s 15-year track record, and the National Team’s preparations for international competitions.

In a statement, the President, Antonios P. Mavrommatis.

In light of the new training opportunities aimed at developing new Greek coaches, Mr. Mavrommatis takes stock of the Federation’s 15-year track record of success—including dozens of seminars, National Championships, and international accolades—while sending his best wishes to the athletes on the National Team as they prepare for major competitions in Italy and North Macedonia.

The following is the message from the President of the P.O.K., reproduced verbatim:

Message from Antonis P. Mavrommatis, President of the Panhellenic Kickboxing Federation (P.O.K.)

The Panhellenic Kickboxing Federation continues its consistent efforts to develop the sport, constantly creating new opportunities for training and development for the people who are its driving force.

Two more opportunities are opening up today for the emergence of new Greek coaches, who come from a generation that has managed to excel in world kickboxing in recent years, proving that Greece now possesses the knowledge, quality, and high level of technical training required.

After 15 years of relentless effort, Greek kickboxing has achieved impressive results, with more than 120 training seminars in Greece and Cyprus, 70 seminars on teaching techniques30 National Championships15 official Pan-European Cups, countless inter-club matches throughout the country, as well as numerous training seminars for referees and officials.

At the same time, Greece has established a steady and strong presence among the elite of the global kickboxing scene. A country that, despite the difficulties and without substantial assistance, managed to build—from the very beginning, in 2011, and from 2016 to the present has seen Greek athletes proudly represent our flag in every corner of the world, winning significant international honors.

To continue on this path to success, we must invest in the people involved in the sport. We need new coaches, we need referees, we need judges, and all those officials who form the foundation of Greek kickboxing and ensure its continued growth.

I wish the best of luck to the new coaches as they embark on this important journey, as well as to the athletes on the National Team who are continuing their preparations ahead of the major international competitions in Italy and Skopje.

Finally, I wish everyone a wonderful summer, filled with good health, strength, and personal successes.

The President of the Panhellenic Kickboxing Federation (P.O.K.),

Antonios P. Mavrommatis
