Determined to put red lines in the government are the doctors who work in the Health centres across the country as they see 2021 expire and have not been paid their on-call accruals.
What the doctors in the Health Centres complain about
According to information from ethnos.gr, the doctors' decision is final to suspend all vaccinations against the coronavirus in all the Health centres from Monday 13 December. As representatives of the trade union of doctors who wish to remain anonymous until the announcement is made - perhaps within the day - discussions with the Ministry of Health and other ministries involved have reached an impasse.
The same source stresses that the doctors are heading to the ultimate means of mobilization, as they have been informed that the payment of their accrued wages will not be made within 2021 as for this to happen, the bureaucratic procedures for their payment would have had to be completed by now.
«We are on December 9 and there are no orders for our payments in 2021. It was a commitment from the government to pay us in 2021 which as of today (9/12) cannot be implemented. We have put our backs throughout the pandemic and beyond and the least we expect is to collect our accrued wages,» the reliable source told ethnos.gr and referred us to rapid developments that will take place in the coming hours.
In fact, according to a report by ethnos.gr in two Health Centres of Attica, the doctors have.... unlocked and by noon on Thursday 9/12 they have been instructed to proceed to mass mobilization and the suspension of all vaccinations from next Monday. Critical consultations are currently underway to find a way to pay their overtime before the time runs out but agents familiar with the state machinery say this is considered difficult to impossible.
