The issue of the characterization of the use of the land of the Trifyllion Kytheria Foundation in Alimos, which has been in the news lately, had already been discussed at the KESYPOΘA during the meeting of 20/12/2023, which initially unanimously advised in favor of the position of Trifyllion, i.e. its use to remain a general residence and not to be limited to welfare - cultural. However, through the actions of the Municipality of Alimos, which claimed that it had not been heard at the meeting, it was unexpectedly brought back for a new discussion on 2/15/2024 but, at our request, it was postponed and finally brought back for discussion on Monday 11/3/2024.
Unfortunately, all the information speaks of unbearable pressure from many sides, in order for the KESYPOTHA to change its position and give an opinion in favor of the Municipality of Alimos. The latter is asking for the conversion of the classification of the use of the 3.4 hectare plot of land owned by Trifyllio from General Residential to Welfare-Culture, so that it cannot be used, but refuses to expropriate it, as it could do. In other words, he indirectly wants to expropriate it without paying compensation.
It goes without saying that the Trifyllion Foundation, which also maintains the Kythera Nursing Home, in the event of a negative development in the KESYPOTHA, is obliged, in cooperation with the Supervisory Authority (Directorate of Endowments of the Ministry of Finance), to take all appropriate actions before any judicial authority to protect its rights, as it considers it unthinkable in an indirect and illegal way, to be deprived of a very valuable asset, because the Municipality of Alimos, within whose boundaries it is located, does not want to allocate the necessary resources to expropriate the property, the development of which is currently underway, following a bidding process (in which the Municipality of Alimos participated), approved by the Ministry of Finance, for the construction of a spiritual centre and housing, in accordance with the building conditions of the area.

(ref. no. 204/13.12.2023),
see (b) from 18-01-2024 reply letter of the secretary of your institution, which informs us “Following our telephone communication, I would like to inform you that the opinion of the KESYPOΘA, regarding the GIS of the Municipality of Alimos and specifically for the objection-memorial of the Foundation «Trifillion Foundation of Kytheria» is not yet ready. Probable estimate is towards the end of next week, i.e. around 26/1/2024.”,

this afternoon 14/02/2024, Wednesday, Wednesday at 16:23 pm, all of a sudden, your letter was received via email to reopen our appeal within a few hours of our notification, i.e. tomorrow 15/02/2024, Thursday, Thursday at 09:00 am, for which a decision has already been taken on 20-12-2023.
Γ) Since:
a) At the given moment there is no possibility to obtain the necessary legal documents to represent the Foundation “TRIPHYLLION FOUNDATION OF CYTHERS”.
b) The Foundation wishes to be legally represented in order to exercise its constitutional right to be heard under Article 20 of the Constitution.
c) The Foundation wishes to be duly informed of the exact subject of your new meeting and the reason for its reconsideration in view of your decision already taken on 20-12-2024, so that it may have the necessary time to prepare for the appearance before the CESCYPOTHA, and to submit newer documents to you by means of a supplementary memorandum.
FOR THE FOREGOING REASONS AND WITH THE EXPRESS RESERVATION OF ALL OUR RIGHTS
WE REQUEST AS:
Postpone the discussion of your 02-15-2024 meeting and set a new one, allowing a reasonable period of at least ten (10) days to allow us to exercise our statutory rights and after you have sent us,
(α) a copy of the minutes of 20-12-2023, in which the decision of your body is recorded, on the subject of «Revision of the Strategic Environmental Impact Study of the General Urban Plan (GIS) of the Municipality of Alimos», on which the objection-memorial of the Foundation “TRIFILLIO FOUNDATION OF KITHERIA” was submitted on 13-12-2023, which received no.KESYPOTHA 204/13.12.2023.
(β) The agenda item for your new meeting.
(δ) Please give us the reasons for revisiting this.
