From Kythira to Boston—a journey of thousands of kilometers, filled with music, emotion, and dreams. The Alexander Kyriakopoulos, a young pianist with roots in Tsirigo, has made a name for himself in the world of classical music abroad, moving audiences with his talent and sensitivity.
«From Kythira to Boston—that’s a long way,» he says with a smile. «It’s a few thousand kilometers, to be honest. But this journey was something I never expected.»
In his interview, Alexander speaks emotionally about those who supported him on this difficult journey.
«I have to dedicate this to my parents, my teachers, and the people in my life—they all deserve it. They’ve made so many sacrifices for me. They’ve supported me completely and given everything so that I could get this far.»
Reserved and humble, the young musician hasn't forgotten where he started:
«I started when I was five years old, in Australia, at my aunt’s house. I’ve loved the piano ever since. It became a part of my life, a way for me to express myself.»
Today, Alexander continues his studies and performances in the United States, worthily representing the new generation of Greek artists who are spreading their wings far from their homeland, without forgetting their roots.
