Farmers are taking their tractors to Syntagma today, following a decision by the Panhellenic Committee of Blockades and after the closure of the highways and 50 days of mobilizations at the blockades.
The farmers, supported by farmers and fishermen, will arrive in the centre of Athens at 15:00. The call is scheduled for 16:00.
As agricultural circles of the PEM point out in documentonews.gr«At least 1 or 2 coaches from each blockade will come to Athens along with dozens of tractors at Syntagma.

At the same time, the farmers make it clear that this mobilization will not be the last. A member of the PEM points out to documentonews.gr that: «There are thoughts among us to come down on February 28. 28 February. Whatever we decide we will do collectively and united».
«We are determined to fight»
As reported in ERT Socrates Aliftiras, vice president of the Federation of Agricultural Associations of Larissa, from the Thessalian plain is expected to come down, loaded on trucks, twenty-five tractors. In Afidnes they will unload from the trucks and drive down to Athens. Tractors are also expected from nearby areas of the basin. According to the estimates of S. Aliftiras, the number of tractors that will be in Athens will be 60-70.
«Together with the people, whose support is touching, we will show the government of Kyriakos Mitsotakis that we are a united front, that we are determined to fight, as there is no economic growth if there is no viable and competitive primary sector,» he concluded.
The Cretan farmers in Piraeus
About 130 representatives of farmers, fishermen, farmers and beekeepers from Chania will participate in the two-day national rally at Syntagma.
The delegation from Chania includes producers from 11 agricultural associations of the prefecture and the beekeepers' association of the prefecture of Chania.
The ship carrying them arrived in Piraeus shortly after 6 am.
As they stated yesterday during their embarkation at the port of Souda, they are prepared to continue their mobilizations until their demands are met, in line with the decisions of the Panhellenic Committee of Blockades.
Speaking to ERT the president of the Unitarian Federation of Agricultural Associations of Chania Kostas Lilikakis, who noted that «after the meeting of the Panhellenic Blockades with the Prime Minister, Mr. Hatzidakis and all those responsible at Maximou, our demands were not resolved, except for the tax-free oil at the pump. All other demands have not been solved, some were covered by the umbrella of the European Union, others by the so-called pathologies of many years.».
The traffic regulations
The ELAS issued traffic regulations for tomorrow 13/2/2026 in view of the descent of the tractors. According to a statement by the GADA, they will be implemented gradually and depending on the prevailing conditions.
For the better service and to avoid additional traffic problems, drivers are requested to avoid crossing and parking their vehicles on the road network of the wider Athens city centre and to follow the instructions of the traffic police regulators.
According to the information so far, trucks carrying tractors are expected to start from Karditsa, Larissa, Atalanti and Bralos to Aphidnes. There, at about 12.30, they will meet farmers who will have left at dawn with tractors from northern Evia.
From this point, they will head with their tractors to the Centre via Kifissos Avenue, without, however, stopping traffic. They will then move through Athens Avenue and end up at Omonia and from there to Syntagma.
At the same time, farmers will move to the Athens and with buses, which will be parked at OAKA, and from there they will continue to Syntagma, where a rally is scheduled at 16.00.
It is not yet clear whether tractors from the Peloponnese will head to Athens.
