Group exhibition «Collectiva Kythera» at the gallery follow your art in Kapsali

The arts season in Kythira continues in full swing with the group exhibition «Collectiva Kythira,» which opens on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at 8:00 p.m. in the gallery follow your art in Kapsali. The exhibition brings together 18 visual artists from Greece and abroad, who are presenting works inspired by Kythira.

«Collectiva Kythira» is a multidisciplinary visual arts event that showcases the island’s creative diversity and artistic vitality. Through paintings, sculptures, and mixed-media works, the participating artists invite visitors to explore the island through their personal perspectives and their own artistic languages.

On Sunday, June 15, the gallery follow your art is pleased to invite the public to its fifth consecutive group exhibition, titled «Collectiva of Kythira.».

Since its founding, the follow your art It remains committed to promoting artists connected to the island of Kythira—whether through ancestry, permanent residence, or a deep personal connection. The gallery serves as a space where they can express their ideas with immediacy and creative freedom.

Kythira is home to a vibrant artistic community, made up of both art school graduates and self-taught artists. Many of them live and work on the island year-round, while others maintain a strong artistic connection from afar. What unites them is a shared passion for Kythira and art.

The idea for a group exhibition showcasing diverse artistic voices began in 2012 with the annual «Big Crisis Small Art» exhibition, which was held for seven consecutive years. After a brief hiatus in 2019 due to the pandemic, the initiative resumed in 2020 under a new title: «Collectiva of Kythira.».

This exhibition welcomes the participation of artists at all stages of their creative journey, encouraging free artistic expression without strict guidelines or thematic restrictions. The result is a vibrant, multifaceted presentation that embraces the full spectrum of contemporary visual art. «Collectiva Kythira» is not merely an exhibition—it is a celebration of community, creativity, and the timeless spirit of Kythira’s cultural life.
