Η European Union allows diplomats of those serving in the Moscow to be vaccinated with the Russian vaccine against the Sputnik-V COVID-19 vaccine if they so wish, even though the vaccine has not yet been approved by the relevant EU authorities. This is stated in a letter from the European Union Delegation in Moscow, which is in the possession of RFE/RL (Radio Free Europe/Radio Liberty).
The letter states that the Russian authorities have decided to approve the vaccination diplomatic corps personnel and their family members over the age of 18 who wish to be vaccinated; the necessary information is being collected for this purpose.
The letter also states that the Russian authorities do not mention the name of the product and promise to provide all necessary information should the diplomatic corps express interest.
