The escalation of the war in the Middle East is a dramatic development, as late on Tuesday afternoon (1/10), the IDF announced what the US had previously announced, namely that Iran was preparing a ballistic missile attack against Israel.
As the IDF announced, missiles were just launched from Iran towards Israel, adding that sirens are sounding throughout the country. «You are asked to be vigilant and act exactly as directed by the Internal Front Command.
In particular, Iran reportedly fired more than 100 missiles towards Israel and eyewitnesses said at 19:45 that they saw missiles over Jordan, according to media and eyewitnesses.

The Iranian news agency Isna published a video of missiles flying over the skies of Tehran. Powerful explosions can be heard in the Jordan Valley, according to eyewitnesses. Incoming missile warning sirens are sounding across Israel.
They strike Israel in 12 minutes
The White House had warned of the imminent attack a little earlier. The US has indications that Iran is preparing an imminent attack by launching ballistic missiles against Israel, a senior White House official said a few hours ago. A military attack against Israel would have «grave consequences» for Iran, the White House official warned.
Indeed, according to reports from the US media, Iran is expected to attack Israel with ballistic missiles that can reach targets within 12 minutes, rather than with drones or cruise missiles that take longer. This is what an Axios reporter told X on Tuesday, citing a Western source.
A western source with knowledge: Unlike the April attack, this time Iran is expected to attack Israel only with ballistic missiles that reach Israel within 12 minutes and not with drones or cruise missiles that allow for much longer preparation time for defense and interception https://t.co/mCibJkNb9g

At the same time, in a graphical analysis, the Israeli medium N12 explains the likely time that the attack will take depending on the weapons Iran will use to reach Israel.

IDF: We are in full readiness
For his part, the spokesman for the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) had earlier stated that the joint command of the US armed forces responsible for the Middle East (CENTCOM) is prepared for an Iranian threat.
He said that Israel's air defense systems are fully prepared and that the IDF is prepared for an offensive as well as a defensive war. Israel is on high alert in cooperation with its allies.
He warned that any Iranian attack on Israel would have consequences. Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu told Israelis early this afternoon to follow the army's security instructions.
