The Deputy Minister of Maritime Affairs and Island Policy and Member of Parliament for the First Electoral District of Piraeus and the Islands, invites you to a political rally to be held on Sunday, May 14, 2023, at 8:00 p.m. at Pierrou Restaurant in Livadi.

Biography

He was born on May 29, 1979, in Piraeus and is originally from Mani and Karpathos. He is married to Nora Michaloliakou, and they have a daughter named Kalliopi-Anna.

He graduated with a degree in Economics from the University of Piraeus and holds a master’s degree (MBA) in Tourism Management.

He served as the head of DAP-NDFK at the University of Piraeus, and in 2007 he was elected Secretary of the Central Committee of ONNED. He served as vice president of ONNED from 2010 to 2013.

In 2002, at the age of 23, he was elected to the Keratsini City Council.

From 2004 onward, for a decade, his fellow economists consistently elected him as their representative to the Economic Chamber of Greece (STA).

In 2006, he was elected to the Athens–Piraeus Prefectural Council, receiving more than 25,000 votes.

He was first elected as a Member of Parliament for the 1st Piraeus & Islands Constituency in the 2012 parliamentary elections. In the parliamentary elections of January and September 2015, he was elected as the New Democracy party’s top-ranking MP for the Piraeus A & Islands constituency.

In 2016, Kyriakos Mitsotakis appointed him deputy head of the New Democracy party’s Environment and Energy Division.

In the July 2019 elections, he was re-elected as the leading member of Parliament for the A Piraeus & Islands constituency and was appointed to parliamentary committees. He was appointed by Prime Minister Kyriakos Mitsotakis as Deputy Minister of Maritime Affairs and Island Policy.
