The following is a press release from the Municipality of Kythira regarding the new permanent employee in the Technical Department.
New Permanent Employee at Our Municipality
On the morning of Thursday, May 4, 2023, in the presence of Mayor Efstratios Charchalakis, the following took the statutory oath: Ms. Lefki Sioziou, a new permanent employee of our Municipality’s Technical Department, specializing in Civil Engineering (PE). The new employee will join the critical technical services department following the end of her nine-month parental leave, which she requested today and to which she is entitled under the law. Following the swearing-in ceremony and the signing of the relevant minutes, Mayor Mr. Charhalakis, Secretary General Ms. Kasimati, and Department Head Ms. Alezidou briefly briefed the new employee on the extensive responsibilities of the technical services, which, due to the major projects currently underway, have taken on particular importance in recent years.
The new employee holds a bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering from the University of Thessaly, and holds a master’s degree in Technical Project Management from the Hellenic Open University; she has worked for several years on major construction projects in the private sector. He speaks English and German.
Ms. Sioziou is a graduate of ASEP Announcement 13K/2020, from which The hiring of one Architectural Engineer is also expected. With these hires, as well as the three previous hires under Announcement 10K/2018 (plus two in the Local Property Department), our Municipal Authority is fully fulfilling its commitment to staff the Municipality with permanent professional and technical personnel, as no permanent professional or technical staff had been hired since the Municipality’s establishment.
