Letters from the Mayor of Hydra, G. Koukoudakis, regarding the understaffing of the Police Department and the Port Authority.

The Mayor of Hydra, George Koukoudakis, sent letters to the Minister of Citizen Protection, Mr. T. Theodorikakos, and the Minister of Shipping and Island Policy, Mr. G. Plakiotakis, regarding the understaffing of the Police Department and the Port Authority of our island, respectively.The letters were sent in response to the recent announcement by the Minister of Citizen Protection that the Police Department of the island of Hydra would be downgraded to a Police Station.

Mr. Koukoudakis, referring to the two incidents that occurred in less than three months on our island, calls for measures to be taken to prevent criminal acts and for further staffing of the Port Authority and the Police Department.
