A scion of a prominent Mani family from Piraeus, the new Deputy Regional Governor of the Attica Islands, Stavros Voidonikolas, is a retired Coast Guard officer.
He served as Deputy Mayor of Piraeus and is an elected Regional Councilor for Attica and a close associate of Attica Regional Governor George Patoulis.
He is a relative of Yiannis Voidonikola, President of the New Democracy Party’s Piraeus A and Islands Regional Executive Committee —who must publicly state whether he agrees with his relative’s stance or not—and is part of the inner circle of Kostas Katsafados, Member of Parliament for Piraeus A and the Islands.
