250 euro allowance for students from the Region of Central Greece

The Region of Central Greece is supporting students from all five prefectures for the 2022-2023 academic year with a one-off payment of €250 for meals. The initiative concerns first-year undergraduate students who are members of families in Central Greece with a family income below the poverty line, as well as unprotected children.

The initiative, entitled «I study... I LIVE!», is funded by the Regional Development Fund of Central Greece and is part of broader initiatives relating to social cohesion policy and funded by the NSRF.

«We have created the “GEFIRA” structure in the Region of Central Greece, with the aim of implementing a series of socially-oriented actions,« emphasized the regional governor of Central Greece, Fanis Spanos, adding: »We intervene and stand by them at the beginning of their student life. In this way, we relieve their families and encourage our young people to continue their studies and their struggle for a better life.".

Relevant applications must be submitted by December 2, 2022.
