The platform is expected to open today, Monday 7 November myTHERMANSHIP for the submission of applications by 1.3 million beneficiaries for this year's heating allowance. The administration of the allowance concerns: heating fuel oil, natural gas, LPG, firewood, biomass (pellets), lighting oil (blue kerosene) and thermal energy through district heating.
According to the EIS, the first payment, which will concern old beneficiaries, will be made on 21 December as an advance payment, the second on 28 February and the third on 28 April.
The amount of the allowance is determined by 100 to 800 euros while a doubling of the amount is foreseen up to 1,600 euros, for new beneficiaries who do not use natural gas and for existing beneficiaries who stop using natural gas and replace it with one of the other subsidised fuels or with district heating.
«Key» for the final amount of the allowance will be «calving days» cold of each region or settlement. Due to the increased energy needs in settlements whose subsidy rate is greater than or equal to one unit - essentially the mountainous areas of the country - the amount of the allowance is increased by 25% up to 1,000 euros.
Each beneficiary is granted an allowance for the purchase of subsidised heating fuel and thermal energy through district heating, the amount of which is in the amount of EUR 350, multiplied by the subsidy rate per settlement in which the main residence is located, plus 20% for each dependent child of the beneficiary.
The subsidy concerns the main residence and specifically for the granting of heating allowance to consumers firewood and biomass (pellets) an additional condition is that the property must be located in a settlement with a population equal to or less than 3,500 inhabitants and the corresponding subsidy rate must be equal to or greater than 0.8. In particular, for the granting of a heating allowance to consumers of thermal energy through district heating, an additional condition is that the property must be located in one of the following areas Municipalities of Serres, Evrdea, Kozani, Amyndeon or Megalopolis.
