Panagiotis Papatrehas breathed his last this morning at the age of 55. He was a well-known accountant in the city of Agrinio.
A family man, modest, hard-working and a fighter in the Progressive field, Panagiotis leaves a huge gap behind him. He ended up in Agrinio hospital where he was taken, after sudden and unbearable pains.
The news of his death was conveyed by his daughter Georgia:
My dad left today, suddenly.
A human being, unique and special, with boundless love in him. A man raised with values and ideals.
A man who ran for everyone, for his children, for his wife and for anyone in need
A man who not only did not put a brake on my «madness» but supported it!
Words are poor, moments are few and the loss is great.

George Papandreou sent a message of condolence for the unexpected loss of Panagiotis Papatrecha. The late Panagiotis was for years a fanatical supporter of Papandreou's ideas.
In his message, the former Prime Minister said:
«The unexpected loss of Panagiotis Papatrecha has filled us all with sadness.
Panagiotis, a tireless fighter for democratic and socialist values, was always consistent with his principles and dedicated to the struggle for the Change of the country.
His comrades, recognising his ethics and honesty, surrounded him with respect and appreciation, as did the entire society of Etoloakarnania.
Have a good trip, Panagiotis.
To his family I express my deepest condolences.»
