With a harsh statement on the latest developments regarding the massive influx of migrants in Kythera in the last two days, the municipal party “Kythera-Antikythera, We Live Here” turns its arrows against the local authorities for their lack of initiatives on their part regarding the accommodation, feeding and care of these people.
From the harsh criticism of the faction, excluded the deputy mayor, responsible for Civil Protection of Kythera, Yannis Katsanevakis, whose philanthropy, the authors of the article believe that used by local rulers in order for them «to hide their nakedness or their inhumanity». At the same time, they praise the solidarity shown on a voluntary basis by ordinary citizens who, from the very first moment, came to the relief of those who arrived.
