The 47,433 runners-up in the «Energy Efficiency 2021» programme are now eligible in principle, the Ministry of Environment and Energy announced on Wednesday morning.
The budget of ExoEconomy 2021 is increased by EUR 591.7 million to a total of EUR 1.2 billion (an increase of EUR 941.3 billion). The total number of beneficiaries of the Programme is now 87,578 households.
Those of the beneficiaries who have a completed electronic building ID card can start the energy upgrade interventions related to their participation rate in the Programme.
The «Save 2021» is the first building energy upgrade programme with a separate budget for vulnerable households. This support for the most vulnerable is increased by €81.8 million and concerns 5,890 households. This means that a total of 14,246 of our most vulnerable citizens are being supported with € 201.8 million.
The new lists with the names of the runners-up will be updated as soon as the new programme guide is released.
The Minister for the Environment and Energy, Kostas Skrekas, stated:
«We are responding to the great interest of Greek households in the «ExoEconomy 2021» programme and today we are including all the runners-up in the programme, which we are turning into beneficiaries. We continue our efforts to support society in every way in the very difficult times we are going through and at the same time we reduce energy consumption and protect the environment.».
