The name of the former Minister of Health and PASOK-KINAL MP is not the only one that was removed during the translation by the competent service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
In the official, original, official, official document from the US Department of Justice (dated 25/5/2017), there is a clear reference to the current Regional Governor of Attica and President of the Athens Medical Association, George Patoulis.
In particular, the document states: «In addition, around February of 2014, NVG (i.e. Novartis) laundered at least 51.411,72 euros through Voulkidis, Healthday and Mavrikos Media with to bribe government officials, including George Patoulis, who used his influence in support of Novartis's continued power in administrative positions».
But in the translation, which took place on 12/4/2021 from translation service of the Greek Ministry of Foreign Affairs, refers to: «In addition, around February of 2014, NVG (i.e. Novartis) laundered at least 51.411,72 euros through Voulkidis, Healthday and Mavrikos Media with for the purpose of bribing government officials».
As is easily understandable, for some reason, the name and the nominal reference to George Patoulis by the FBI has disappeared and is simply referred to in vague terms as «government officials».
